Warranty Terms

These warranty terms apply to all e - bikes, parts and accessories purchased in Germany from March 1, 2026 onwards.

1. General

The guarantor of this limited manufacturer's warranty is Ride Aventon Germany GmbH.
Hereinafter, Ride Aventon Germany GmbH will be referred to as "Aventon".
These warranty provisions apply in addition to the buyer's statutory warranty rights  and are granted at no extra charge.
The statutory rights, in particular those arising from § 433 of the German Civil Code (BGB), remain unaffected and exist independently  of this voluntary guarantee.


2. Eligible persons and transferability


The warranty applies to the original purchaser of the product and is transferable to a subsequent purchaser provided that ...
  • the second buyer can present the original proof of purchase

This warranty cannot be transferred to a third-party buyer.

The remaining warranty period depends on the original purchase date.

There are no additional costs for transferring the warranty.


3. Scope and duration of the warranty


3.1 Scope of Warranty


Aventon grants the original purchaser, as well as an eligible subsequent purchaser (see Section 2), a two (2) year manufacturer's warranty commencing on the date of original purchase for Aventon - products against defects in materials - and workmanship.
A prerequisite is that the

Registration is not a prerequisite for the two-year manufacturer's warranty.

 

In the event of a warranty claim, the warranty covers—at Aventon's discretion:

  • The repair of the affected product or component,
  • replacement with an equivalent product or component, or
  • replacement with a comparable successor model, provided that the original product is no longer available.

Aventon reserves the right to limit warranty coverage to the country in which the product was purchased.

The warranty applies exclusively to manufacturing and material defects.

It does not cover consequences resulting from normal wear and tear; for further details, please refer to Section 5.

3.2. Extended Frame Warranty

For the bicycle frame, Aventon grants an extended frame warranty, provided that the
bicycle is registered within 30 days of the original date of purchase.
  • Extended Frame Warranty (“Lifetime Warranty”):
    Upon registration of the bicycle within 30 days of the date of purchase, Aventon grants a lifetime warranty on the in terms of the technical service life of the frame. The technical service life is limited to a maximum of ten (10) years from the date of purchase.

The warranty terms are transferable to second-hand buyers subject to the following conditions (see Section 2) .

  • the second-hand buyer can present the original proof of purchase
  • the bicycle was registered by the original purchaser within 30 days

The extended frame - warranty period is always based on the original date of purchase.


3.3 Aventon-branded components and equipment parts

  • Two (2) years from the date of purchase

3.4 Battery (E - Bikes)

  • Two (2) years from the date of purchase, or
  • up to 500 full charge cycles, whichever occurs first.

A charging capacity of 75% is guaranteed after 500 charge cycles, compared to the respective initial value.

4. Warranty Service

In the event of a warranty claim, Aventon will, at its discretion, either repair or replace the product, see section 3.1 .

Replaced parts become the property of Aventon.

The assumption of labor and transport costs is generally not part of the warranty services .

Aventon reserves the right, at its sole discretion and on a case-by-case basis, to cover labor costs for repairs after prior consultation with the warranty holder . There is no entitlement to this .

There is no entitlement to a new product, a loan or replacement product during the execution of the warranty service .

5. Warranty Exclusions

The following are specifically excluded from the warranty:

  • Compensation for any damage in case of accident, fall, overload or improper use
  • The replacement of any damage resulting from improper installation , unauthorized modifications, corrosion, weathering, or improper care/cleaning agents is excluded.
  • Any replacement for normal or usual wear and tear of the products, as well as the replacement of wear parts such as:
    • Tires & Tubes
    • Brake discs, brake pads & rim brake tracks
    • Chains, sprockets, seals, bearings & gears of the drive
    • Handlebar grips
    • Hub freewheels and freewheel pawls
    • Brake cable , gear cable and its sheathing
    • Moving parts made of rubber
  • Replacement for purely cosmetic damage (e.g., scratches, paint chips ), unless it impairs the function of the product.
  • Compensation for any consequential damages such as loss of use, lost holiday enjoyment, rental costs or loss of earnings
  • The replacement of damages resulting from maintenance and service not being carried out according to the instructions and intervals contained in the manual .
This warranty applies exclusively to the private, non - commercial use of the products within normal limits, in accordance with their respective intended purpose and in accordance with the respective operating instructions and the guidelines published by Aventon , see section 3.1.

Accordingly, this warranty becomes void if the product:
  • is used for commercial purposes (e.g. in rental fleets, courier services) or
  • are subjected to stresses that exceed the usual level or intended use , e.g., when the product is used in racing events, competitions , stunts , or acrobatic driving exercises .

Third - party components such as gears, brakes, or suspension are excluded . These parts are subject to the separate warranty terms of their respective manufacturers. The relevant warranty information is included with the product , and claims must be made directly to the third-party manufacturer .

The exclusions in this section do not affect statutory rights.

6. Procedure in case of warranty claim

  1. Warranty claims must be reported with proof of purchase (invoice, receipt) via an Aventon partner or directly to Ride Aventon Germany GmbH using the contact form available on their website . The report must include photos of the damage and an explanation of how the damage occurred.
  2. The request will be reviewed by Aventon .
  3. Possible follow-up questions to the customer regarding the matter may occur.
  4. After successful inspection, repair or replacement will take place .
  5. Rejections are communicated in text form .
